Destination Invest participates in meeting at Rymdporten in Bergsjön.

On April 14, Destination Invest participated in a significant meeting at Rymdporten in Bergsjön, where progress and results from the Handslaget Bergsjön initiative were presented to national and local decision-makers. Among the attendees were Member of Parliament Lawen Redar and Chair of the Municipal Executive Committee Jonas Attenius.

The meeting showcased how strong collaboration between various stakeholders and concrete actions have led to positive outcomes in the district – with a focus on entrepreneurship, social sustainability, and expanded opportunities for young people.

On the agenda:

🔹 Christina Morales Nilsson, District Manager at Familjebostäder i Göteborg AB, who presented the work within the Framtidshubbarna and Handslaget Bergsjön initiatives.

🔹 Nathalie Dunér, VP, Head of Communication, Business Area Surveillance at Saab, who shared insights on the collaboration between the business sector and local development efforts.

🔹 Rabi Shabo, Coordinator at Familjebostäder, who spoke about how Rymdporten has evolved into an important community hub in Bergsjön.

🔹 Terje Johansson, CEO of Förvaltnings AB Framtiden, who provided a data-driven overview of the situation in Göteborg’s less prioritized areas – and what is needed to achieve real, long-term change.

📉 The discussions clearly highlighted that investments in these areas remain insufficient, despite strong local potential for innovation and entrepreneurship.
